The call was obvious
And I am here, every moment,
Attached and attentive to
Every footfalls, each whisper
Of leaves and the roar of the
Waves. I imagine I can hear
Everything and still listen to
Silence, look up the sky
And wander like nesting birds
From very far off lands.
Just let me know when it's
Time by the end of the tide
Before the last boat leaves.
