To reach you
is to be taken to you
by a long journey.
On the way there are loving
and being loved,
raining and caring for seedlings.
To live with you
is knocking at the door
in the slightly clouded evening
and to be washed with passion
that burned Greek gods sometimes
to just throbbing space.
To leave you behind
is losing the key to opening your
lips and then to kiss fire into you.
It's not we that have made myths
of fire
it's fire that has made myths of us.
So to be back to you
just past the midnight
is finishing drawing the circle
before taking the plunge
to bounce back.
