Sonnet On (Who Can Get God ).. Dusmanta Choudhury

 

All, but a wise man, can not get the God
Wiseness is measured, not in paper but in lore
He is only wise who knows the difference a fad
Between the eternal and transient for ever

All that our mortal eyes see, are too transient
And are subject to decay and end in death
But only it is God, that is eternal & permanent
Can not be decayed or measured underneath

All that pleases man, are trifle and mean or
Like beauty, wealth and all earthly materials
All are smoke and melts like smoke in the air
Believe in our action that bears fruit in all

Be detached from all that trifle and transient
Ask the soul, to get God, what is it meant ?
