The Suffocation.. Kr. Krishna Chamling

 

The place,
Her mother; the motherland,
The culture,
Her master: the way of living,
The keepsake of joy, of everyday catch-22;
Her mother’s account: the incapacity of long history,
The survival with hardship;         
Her obligation: the daily breads and butters
The wounding heart;
Her old scarce: the infested bloods,
The pain in integral body;
Her appendage: culture of poverty,
The innocent pristine face;
Her endeavor: the beauty of her honesty,
The indulged endurance;
Her happiness: morning sunshine to the landscapes,
The thin body;
Her caged soul: crammed inside the walls
Raised by her own life, its disguised future, and
To that she never understood, the deceptive play
As she is staked, gambled by her providence, where
Each day she cooks the foods of the bitterness of her lack,
desperation, own fate seasoned with lassitude and uncertainty.
