WOOD NYMPHS.. Dr Jahangir Alam Rustom
One day in the late afternoon
I went to visit a small forest,
Suddenly I met with a group of nymphs
When they were taking a rest.
They invited me to join
With them without any fair,
I was trembling
As I was alone with my eyes tear.
One of the nymphs approached me
And rubbed my tear,
One of them consoled me
‘We’re with you; do not fear’.
With a scanty dress the queen of nymphs
Offered me a glass of wine,
All were laughing, cheering
And telling ‘you are mine’.
One was presenting me
A bouquet of flower,
Another one was garlanding me
With great fervor.
One was singing songs
To attract me,
Another was delivering dances
From the branches of a tree.
I was enjoying it ever
As the most beautiful scenery,
Never had I forgotten this
The ever remembered delivery.
