Collaboration and work has started with the Commission on the Status of Women - NGOs of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, (ECOSOC)- UN- NewYork one of the main UN organs within the United Nations, and the consultative relationship with the United Nations. The Commission on the Status of Women is a United Nations organ that works to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women. Every year, representatives of member states meet at the United Nations headquarters in New York to assess progress in gender equality, identify challenges, set global standards, and formulate concrete policies to promote equality and the advancement of women around the world.
The Committee works in cooperation with the two committees of non-governmental organizations concerned with the status of women in Geneva - Switzerland and Vienna - Austria in the Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO).
We will work to provide an open forum for the voices of women in the United Nations to be heard through many programs, God willing.
