Since childhood I have saved
a variety of prescriptions to live this life happily.
Some of them are just white with no dos and don'ts
inked on them.
Their melancholic eyes have always met mine without
any traffic between us.
They were prescriptions but I never wanted to know
why they were as blank
as being born blind, deaf and dumb.
Other prescriptions range from being modest to loud
in colours and a few of them very sadist by nature.
I grew up playing with them.
With a select few I played enviable erotic games
that set wings to the core immobility in me.
Now my fly in colourful skies one after another
are at an end
The wings are ageing fast in corporate speed.
They are becoming heavy with fleers of cataracts.
The saved prescriptions are still with me.
Am I happy? Am I happy?
But first tell me exactly when a narrative divorces
the narrator
and the narrator saves the divorce papers to live happily ever after.
