My tears are not salty.
Rather whoever has tasted them
has confirmed that they are sweet.
They also have affirmed that my tears
are not sweet enough to get anyone cloyed.
My beloved once, before she left me to use
all the primitive energy in her body to fire another
weak wick, compared the blobs of my tears to the
afternoon sweetcakes on the flat basket of
a street vendor.
Because my tears are lacking in salt
I am still looking for a woman who can be
irrationally loved for a false heaven.
