Your Amazing Grace Lights Up My Face!.. Dr. Joseph S. Spence Sr

 

Greetings, my dear brothers and sisters, I was nominated by My dear sister, Peace Ambassador Dr. Stella Theresa Luna, Quezon City, Philippines, and my dear brother, Samir Pal, teacher, poet, social thinker, social democrat, blogger, and humanist, from Naxalbari, West Bengal, India, to participate in an international poetry marathon.  As a result, I will post eight poems, one each day, and also nominate eight poets to participate in the poetry marathon, one each day, when I post my poems.

I will write a series of Cento Spiritual Poems for eight days.

The poems in the program will be translated from English and printed on the Russian calendar.

Today is Friday, September 18, 2020. Let's rejoice in it and be exceedingly glad. My fifth poem, submitted for the international poetry marathon, to be translated and posted on the Russian calendar, reflects on God's Amazing Grace and its tracing to this date.

I nominate my dearly beloved sister of God's inspirational grace and uplifting words, Poetess Lilliana Christiansen (Lilly), from Peru, South America.  She studied Zootecnia at the National University of Piura. She is a gracious friend, author of numerous poems, and beautiful thoughts of inspiration. She loves juicy mangoes, excellent boiled or ripe bananas, and refreshing coconut water and milk just like I do. Her philosophy is, "Life allows us to rebuild ourselves and learn values such as respect." Blessings to you always, my dear sister of God's inspirational grace, everlasting glory, and majesty!

Fifth Cento Poem: Your Amazing Grace Lights Up My Face!..           

Walk with me, Lord, and talk with me…
While I'm on this Pilgrim's Journey, Lord, walk and talk with me.
Your amazing grace gives a smiling face, sweet taste in my mouth
Your amazing grace never erased—"Soothing through drought!"

Your amazing grace saves Newton—"Repented trader of slaves!"
Your amazing grace lights up the place, brought many from darkened caves.
Walk with me, Lord, and talk with me…
While I'm on this Pilgrim's Journey, I want you, Lord, to walk and talk with me.

When we have scored ten thousand years under Your shining sun
We will have more days to sing Your praise like we have just begun.
Your amazing grace removed scales from eyes like Saul of Taurus
Your amazing grace will also save the world from this—"Era of Coronavirus!"

Your amazing grace guided Moses through the—"Red Sea!"
Your amazing grace has more steering for worldwide humanity and also me.
When this mortal soul on earth shall cease, Your increase
With You in Heaven, I will possess angelic grace of joy and peace!

Your amazing grace omnipotent power is unbreakable
Your amazing grace omnipresence power is distinguishable
Your amazing grace omniscience power is incredible
Walk with me, Lord, and talk with me…
While I'm on this Pilgrim's Journey, I want you, Lord—"To walk and talk with me!"
