Freedom of speech - the right to free speech and expression without censorship or restriction,
or both together.

Freedom of speech as a synonym for freedom
expression sometimes indicates more than just verbal speech,
but also on requesting, receiving and transmitting information or ideas, regardless of the media used.

In practice, the right to freedom of speech is not unrestricted anywhere, and that right is usually subject to restrictions such as "hate speech".

The right to freedom of speech is recognized as a human right under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as well as in international human rights law in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

This organization recognizes the right to freedom of speech as "the right to have opinions without interference". "Everyone should have the right to freedom of expression."

Freedom of speech is also recognized in European, American and African legislation.

This right "freedom of speech" is different and should not be confused with the term freedom of thought.
