Comoara.. Georgiana L. Gheorghe

Nu o vei găsi în cufărul din podul prăfuit,
Nici îngropată în țărâna unei insule pustii.
Nu este o bogăție materială, ci o comoară inestimabilă
Moștenită de la strămoșii daci în sufletul fiecărui român.

Deși este sfâșiată de lumea schimbătoare,
Tot este dulce pe buzele românilor păziți de Draconul Dacic.
Mai strălucitoare decât stelele, sora mărețului soare,
Limba noastră dragă îi unește pe românii de pretutindeni.

The Treasure

You won’t find her in the trunk from the dusty attic,
Nor buried in the soil of a deserted island.
She’s not a material wealth, but a priceless treasure
Inherited from our ancestors the Dacians in the heart of every Romanian.

Despite being shredded by the changing world,
She is still sweet on the lips of the Romanians
That are protected by the Dacian Draco.
Shining brighter than the stars, sister of the mighty sun,
Our dear language unites Romanians everywhere.
