A lot of trees.. Apu Mondal

It has been a long time
I have seen a lot of trees
At a time, in one place
Except in old pictures or
Wall hangings. But I have
Seen a lot of people cut
Trees to make money, to
Make doors and windows,
Tables and chairs. Trees
Cannot speak to people
And plead for their lives
They can only shelter birds
Bear flowers and fruits,
And they're so wise, they
Have seen through the
Games people play. But
Restrain being hungry
Like a lot of people here.
