SOLOMON AWAITS SHEBA.. Ishak Yusuf Oyetunji
TÙMÍNÍNÚ V
Solo - speaking piano
Sings song of sorrow
Tears stream in furrow
In depth of heart, wailing soprano
Gone gold 'nd treasure bewailed
Inward injuries, brute sore,
Pain squirming like whale
Sting-scaring vena amoris, pshaw!
Generous blepharons quenched
Moistened the dried horizon
In despair to despair despair with orison
To fecund the barren land, drench
Chrysanthemum sprouts!
Sheba adorns my Solomon throne
Shall I proud again, be stout
Aftermath 'am to her jilt prone
Her love, a strong sling
Slings and me straps
To mirth in glee, sing
Swim in ocean of bliss, lap
At the verge of cold death
I am, if my journey ends in thy hand
Shall my remain be buried at death
In thy heart - most peaceful land
