The button generation

One day while carrying out a procedure in a bank, I realized that the new generations live through a button.

The computer button, the cashier button, the elevator button, the button to turn on the television, the button to capture information. The button to authorize entry, the button to start the car, the button to register the arrival ... and so on.

It is the button of their lives, and I thought that I am part of a very lucky generation, because I never waited for any button to decide for me or my actions.

In MIS ANDANZAS, for example, if he did not turn on the elevator button, went up or down the stairs, to change the television channel he would turn a knob, to dial by phone he would turn the numbering wheel, the money counting I did it with my own hands and my mental calculator, fast food was a banana and a glass of fresh milk, to pay the money I gave it to the recipient's hand, everything was as simple ... as activating my own will.

Today there is no coffee service if the button on the machine does not turn on, the procedures are paralyzed if there is no Internet, you are no longer called by your name, but you are a numeric user, if you want to solve a problem you must call an extension where They never answer you, and from there dial another number with an infinite response ... "our operators are attending you, wait on the line" ...

Could it be that at some point this generation of the button will be able to click with the most necessary button?, That of action and the will to want to do things, will it be that the new generations will understand how valuable it is to solve a problem with their own hands ?, Will there ever be an awareness that a button cannot stop our lives, will technology give us the opportunity to decide?
Could it be that one day the world will turn again without a digitized button that shows the greatness of a smile and the gratitude for the support received?

Could it be that nothing replaces a cordial treatment, full of empathy and responsibility?

So let's activate the heart button, surely this way the world will be much better and more human every day.

La generación del botón

Cierto día mientras realizaba un trámite en un banco, me percaté de que las nuevas generaciones viven a través de un botón.

El botón de la computadora, el botón del cajero, el botón del ascensor, el botón para encender la television, el botón para capturar la información. El botón para autorizar la entrada, el botón para encender el coche, el botón para registrar la llegada...etcétera.

Es el botón de sus vidas, y yo pensaba que soy parte de una generación muy afortunada, porque nunca esperé a que ningún botón decidiera por mí o mis acciones.

En MIS ANDANZAS, por ejemplo, si no encendía el botón del ascensor, subía o bajaba las escaleras, para cambiar el canal de la televisión giraba una perilla, para marcar por teléfono le daba vueltas a la rueda de la numeración, el conteo del dinero lo hacía con mis propias manos y mi calculadora mental, la comida rápida era un plátano y un vaso de leche fresca, para pagar el dinero lo entregaba en la mano del receptor, todo era tan simple...como accionar mi propia voluntad.

Hoy no hay servicio de café si el botón de la máquina no enciende, los trámites se paralizan si no hay Internet, ya no te llamas por tu nombre, sino que eres un usuario numérico, si quieres resolver un problema debes llamar a una extensión donde nunca te contestan, y de ahí marcar a otro número con respuesta infinita... "nuestras operadoras le están atendiendo, espere en la línea".

¿Será que en el algún momento esta generación del botón podrá hacer click con el botón más necesario?, el de la acción y voluntad de querer hacer las cosas, ¿será que las nuevas generaciones entenderán lo valioso que es resolver un problema con sus propias manos?, ¿habrá en algún momento la conciencia de que un botón no puede parar nuestras vidas, será que la tecnología nos pueda regalar la oportunidad de decidir?
¿Será que algún día el mundo volverá a girar sin un botón digitalizado que muestre la grandeza de una sonrisa y el agradecimiento por el apoyo recibido?

¿Será que nada sustituye un trato cordial, lleno de empatía y responsabilidad?

Activemos pues el botón del corazón,  seguramente así el mundo será cada día mucho mejor y más humano.
