قانون الأحوال الشخصية هو مجموعة النصوص القانونية التي تنظم علاقة الأفراد فيما بينهم المتعلقة بأحكام الزواج والنسب والمصاهرة والولاية والحضانه  والحضانة والأهلية والنيابة الشرعية والحقوق والواجبات المتبادلة والطلاق والوصية والمواريث  وما يتعلق بالإنسان من الصفات الطبيعية أو العائلية التي رتب عليها القانون أثرا قانونيا في حياته الإجتماعية وبعد مماته من
وكونه تام الاهلية ام ناقصها و
مطلق الاهليه او مقيدها بسبب  من الأسباب الشرعية او القانونية
ومحتوى قانون الأحوال الشخصية يمكن عرضه في ثلاث نقاط :
اولا - كل ما يتعلق باحكام عقد الزواج أركانه وشروطه سواء كانت شروط انعقاد أو شروط نفاذ وما يترتب عليه من مهر ومسكن ونفقة  ونسب
ثانيا - كل ما يتعلق بالطلاق وأحكامه وآثاره كالنفقة والعدة والحضانة  ..
ثالثا - أحكام الإرث أو ما يطلق عليه في الفقه علم الفرائض وما يتعلق به من شروط وأركان وموانع
وطرق تقسيم التركة بين الورثة

كما يبحث قانون الأحوال الشخصية وينظم حقوق المرأة
وسنتحدث عن هذه المواضيع كل على حدى وبالتفصيل في المحاضرات القادمة

The content of the Personal Status Law can be presented in three points:

Second - Everything related to divorce, its rulings and effects, such as maintenance, waiting period and custody.
Third - Provisions of inheritance or what is called in jurisprudence the science of obligations and related conditions, pillars, and prohibitions
And methods of dividing the estate between the heirs

It also examines the personal status law and regulates women's rights
