FATHER’S DAY PERSONAL MESSAGE!.. Dr. Joseph S. Spence

FATHER’S DAY PERSONAL MESSAGE!
"THIS IS MY SON JONATHAN IN WHO I AM VERY WELL PLEASED!"

Jonathan stayed beside his father all the way, listened and followed his instructions. He started studying Spanish, soccer, mixed martial arts, violin, and acting in elementary school. Graduating to middle school, he continued acting by joining the acting club, Spanish club, violin by joining the school orchestra, and the dramatics forensic club. Graduating into high school, he continued mixed martial arts and obtain his black belt. He was elected president of the dramatics forensics club, and the school never lost another competition. He won more trophies for the school than any other dramatics' club president.

He traveled to China with the school’s orchestra. Played on the Great Wall of China, and other venues in Beijing with distinction. I was there with him all the way. He knew exactly how to handle the Chinese girls who wanted to slip him notes and phone numbers. He started his poetic journey in elementary school. Won the “American Poetry Month Medal” in 1996 with me. Played soccer for his high school, ran long distance, and performed violin solo performances for his church's special events at many venues with distinction.

Each year, he attended violin summer sessions, at Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. Attended Spanish summer session at the University of Wisconsin, Lacrosse, with international students. Attended dramatic forensic summer school at the University of Illinois, with national students. He participated in every play from middle school to high school graduation and was inducted into the Thespian Acting Society, and the Spanish Club.

He graduated from high school with distinction and attend the same university in New York where his maternal grandfather obtained his law degree, who was later appointed as the first African American attorney by a republican governor as a circuit judge in Wisconsin. Jonathan started the legacy at the same university for the Spence-Parrish family. He graduated with his degree in Communications and now works for an East Coast firm in communications.

He continues his poetry practice with inspiration and has won many poetry events along the East Coast distinction. He continues his martial arts practice at his favorite dojo. By the way, one of his paternal cousins, retired as the "World's Undefeated Taekwondo Champion after holding the title for five years. He now has his own mixed martial arts dojo, and is very proud of Jonathan.  I had the honors of teaching Jonathan, what we called in the military, "Special operations hand-to-hand combat." That the phase of combat operations when one is out of bullets, and continues the mission of winning against enemy forces.

We also published two poetry books together with his mother, while he attended high school, "A Trilogy of Poetry Prose and Thoughts for the Mind, Body, and Soul," and "Trilogy Moments for the Mind, Body and Soul," which won several poetry prize. We traveled the world together. He loves Germany and the food there. His paternal grandmother also served as a distinguished Attorney-at-Law!

I don’t what else to say about Jonathan, other than, “The apple always fall under the tree. This is my son in whom I am well pleased!”

Please have a great day and God's richest grace and blessings to you, your loved ones, and family members always!

"The higher reality of consciousness enhances peace, love, harmony, and happiness in our hearts with actions we connectively and collectively accomplished through faith."
– His Excellency, Professor, Commissioner, Ambassador, Dr. Joseph S. Spence Sr., the USA (Epulaeryu Master)!
